Police Constable Mark Norman
Born in Ipswich, UK Mark joined the Suffolk Constabulary in 1976 and came to Bermuda in 1981.
He became actively involved in Outward Bound Bermuda that same summer and continued each year until in 1989 he became Coodinator.
He has represented Outward Bound Bermuda at numerous International Meetings throughout the World. He is a member of the Association of Challenge Course Technologists and continues to maintain the equipment and ropes courses at the Paget Island base in St. George’s.
Mark is married to Lynn and has two daughters Laura, 23 and Emma 21.

Lt Col BN Gonsalves, ED, tacsc
Lieutenant Colonel Brian Gonsalves was born in Bermuda on 30 October 1966 and proudly traces his roots back to the Azores and St Kitts & Nevis. He is the son of Mrs Dorothy Gonsalves and the Late Noel (Billy) Gonsalves, a career fire service officer.
Educated at Mount Saint Agnes Academy, Lt Col Gonsalves developed an early interest in the military through the Bermuda Regiment’s Junior Leaders Programme. He went on to participate in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) at St Leo College in Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. During the ROTC days, he attended the US Army’s Airborne School where he earned the Parachutist Badge.
Lt Col Gonsalves was commissioned in 1989 after passing out from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK. He was the first member of the Bermuda Regiment to deploy as part of the International Military Advisory Training Team (IMATT) in Sierra Leone in 2001. He completed a six-month tour in the West African country as Battalion Advisor.
Lt Col Gonsalves went on to further his civilian career with the Bank of Butterfield and later AON, while remaining very active in the Regiment. From 2004, Lt Col Gonsalves has held the appointment of Regiment Second-in-Command, and in 2009 became the 14th Commanding Officer of the Bermuda Regiment.
Since retiring from the Regiment, he has rejoined the private sector as General Manager for East End Telecoms Ltd.
He is married to Judy and they have two sons: Jason (16) and Bryce (13). For recreation he enjoys boating, physical fitness, family time, traveling and working around the house.
Rees Fletcher has been the Division President of ACE Bermuda since in 2004.
Mr. Fletcher holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University, New Brunswick, Canada. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), having gained his designation in 1988.
Mr. Fletcher is a past president of the Bermuda Insurance Institute.
